Hey Everyone! I’m Laura Beth, but my friends call me LB. I am so glad you are here!
Welcome to my blog; my little piece of the world wide web where I like to share about home renovations, DIY projects, craft tutorials, adventures in the kitchen, and the life we are creating. I started this blog as a little scrapbook of our lives and it has grown into an incredible community of readers. I am so thankful you are here!

III and I bought our first home right after we were married. We were there almost five years and tackled some major improvements to make the house our home. You can check out the Home Tour tab to see all the changes we made. In February of 2015 we decided we needed to move on to a new project! We listed our home and it sold in less than a week for over asking price (you can read about how, here). Our new house is perfect for our growing family and has also brought us more DIY projects that I cannot wait to share with you!
A little bit more about me…I taught third grade for seven years, before staying home with my babies. This little blog here is what you might say is 1/2 of a part time job….so a fourth time job maybe? I love chronicling our adventures and sharing them with our friends (that is you). You will find everything from DIY home projects, craft tutorials, delicious recipes and baking ideas, as well as a little bit of our life popping in here and there.

Hey there love your blog!!! So funny bc I stumbled across it and first thing to catch my eye was that we have the same name! I’ve never seen anyone have my name and all my family calls me lb too. So funny. Also I’m from Alabama too, Mobile. Living in Mississippi for now. I saw you were expecting in May so you must have already had your bundle? Congratulations! I’m due with my first baby in July!! Really enjoyed your newborn survival post so thank you :) never even thought of/ heard of using white noise. Any way thanks for sharing!!!!
Same name? That’s crazy! So glad you came across A Step in the Journey. Best of luck with your little one :)
Hi Laura Beth — just came across your blog, and am enjoying its cheerful, homey feeling. Like a fresh-baked pie just out of the oven, bubbling with fun! I’ve added it to a list of positive blogs I keep on my own site. :)

Hello Beautiful Blogging Friend!
I also swung by via the “revamping about pages” post and had to share my admiration for your lovely lil spot here on the web. Your About Page is a perfect length (and I’m ADD in blog hopping), your personality translates clearly and shows a likeable, genuine chikadee whose enjoying life and inspiring others. I recently deleted the theme and all customizations on my blog and decided to start from scratch which has been a tad overwhelming! Your blog is a great reminder to just be me and show who I am on my “about,” a genuine and real, personable, relatable voice kept me reading longer than the “abouts” that still sound ‘nice’ but as far as inspiration goes, feels more intimidating and overwhelming. Thank you for having me ;)
You are so sweet! Thanks so much for stopping by our journey and taking the time to say hello! Good luck on redoing your blog, I am sure it will be fantastic :o)
I don’t know you, but it seems that we (like the last commenter) have so much in common! I’m also Laura Beth/LB to friends, also from Alabama, now living in the “city,” an Auburn alum, and even have that cute skirt you’re wearing in the picture at the top of the page! :) Just read your 12-ish tips for newborns since I’m expecting and terrified, and it was great! Thanks for sharing it. I’m so glad I stumbled on your blog! Will definitely be keeping up with your adventures here. Nice to “meet” you, and WAR EAGLE!! – another LB
Wow! What a small world. First War Eagle :o) Those years at Auburn were some of the best years of my life! Congrats on your new little one, I am sure you will be a great mom & hopefully some of my tips you’ll find useful. Nice to meet you too!
Hey Laura Beth!
Visiting from Lauren’s post about re-vamping her ‘About’ page and I am blown away by all we have in common! I’m an AUburn alum, live in Alabama, and am saved by God’s grace! (I’m just waaaaay older!) ;-) I just love serendipity, don’t you?
Oh, and I love your About page, too.Hope you’ll visit Sondra Lyn at Home sometime! War Eagle!!!

Hey Laura Beth!!! It’s been FOREVER since our freshman year as roomies at Auburn but to this day your mother’s apple pie is hands down the best I have ever had! If you ever wanted to do a blog post with the recipe I would be forever grateful!!! ;)
Congratulations on your baby on the way! Little girls are the best! You will be an amazing mother!
Hope you are well! I love your blog!

Just wanted to let you know that you were a part of my inspiration as I revamped my “About” page this week. Gave you a little shout-out in my post, too. Laura Beth, you rock!

Dear LB,
Your printables are fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
I would love to get a version without the watermark, and attempted to follow you, but the link only brings me to a photobucket site with your icon. Can you please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
