The Celebration Plate
Who doesn’t love the endless possibilities that can begin with a jar of Ragu® spaghetti sauce! Spaghetti sauce is always on a mom’s dream team of ingredients. To be honest I love making my own sauce, but lately while trying to wrangle a two year old and six month old, it just isn’t happening. When cooking with Ragu® you can create basic spaghetti, spice it up with meatballs, try out mini pizza’s, go in a different direction with homemade chili or make my family’s current favorite, Pizza Pasta!
Too often dinner is just another thing to check off the list of a busy day. This special time gets overlooked but friends, don’t let it. Dinner is one of the few times when when the entire family can come together and enjoy a delicious meal, great conversation, and each other. Let’s celebrate the magic of eating a meal together. Ragu® gives me the opportunity to sit down at mealtime and enjoy my family. Meal prep is stress free allowing me and my family to celebrate the time we have together for dinner.
I picked up some Ragu® last time I went shopping at Kroger. I’m a Kroger fan because Chickadee gets to ride in the car attached to the buggy, the top basket is the perfect size for Sprout’s car seat to sink down into, and there is still room in the bottom basket for groceries. Triple Jackpot!
A family tradition that we enjoy at mealtime is using a “Red Plate to Celebrate!” When we got married over 5 years ago, Mrs. Zo, one of the sweetest ladies I know and director of the camp I grew up going to gave us a red plate. Strange right? I thought so, but then I read her note.
This red plate should be used to celebrate moments big and small…CELEBRATE members of your family by serving their dinner on the special red (or any color) plate. We all love to be celebrated and to feel special. It’s amazing how a little red plate and a proud family can make us feel.
So, Dad gets a promotion, Chickadee learns to recognize her name, Sprout sleeps through the night :), Mom has a pin go viral on Pinterest…we celebrate with the RED plate!
How do you celebrate at meal time?
