Oreo Brownie Trifle
Our small group bible study gets together on Sundays. Lately whoever is hosting has been cooking and treating everyone to dinner. It is so nice to not have to worry about another meal during the week. Well this week it was our turn and III was set on grilling out. He grilled burgers similar to these and I “cooked” tater tots and then my homemade skillet macaroni and cheese.
However, what we were both most excited about was dessert (isn’t everyone?). III had requested this chocolate peanut butter trifle, but was willing to let me mix it up a little. I had seen OREO pudding at the store, and I had an idea. Folks, it was a HIT! May I share it with you?

- 1 Box of Brownie Mix + oil & eggs (or you could make your own)
- 1 Large Box of OREO Jello Pudding Mix
- 2 Cups of Milk
- 1 Large or 2 Regular tubs of Cool Whip
- 20-25 Crushed Oreos
- Prepare brownies according to package instructions
- While the brownies are cooking mix your pudding with milk and set aside in the refrigerator
- After the brownies cool it's time to layer the trifle.
- Start with half your pan of crumbled brownies on the bottom.
- Top with 1/2 pudding mixture
- Then Cool Whip
- Next 10-15 Crushed Oreos
- Then Repeat ending with the crushed Oreos again on top!
- Enjoy!
Easy peasy folks….my favorite! I would allow about 20 minutes once you are finished to let it set in the fridge. I’m on a trifle kick lately, stay tuned….I’ll probably have another trifle recipe soon!
Is it okay to substitute the Oreo pudding for just regular chocolate pudding?
Yes! That sounds delicious!
Hello! Did you have any problems with the pudding solidifying? I stirred in the large package of pudding with 2 cups of milk, and it remained a liquid. Any suggestions? Thanks!
What size brownie mix?
Just a normal size box.
Is it ok to make the night before? I have a luncheon tomorrow and I don’t want it to turn out bad
Do you leave the whole layer of brownie on the bottom or split it up?
I break up the pan of brownies & then divide it between the layers!
Thank you!!
I just love trifles! I’m definitely making one some time this spring! Yours looks great! I’d love for you to come and share your post at my linky party.

This looks delicious! How many ounces is the box of Oreo jello and the large tub of cool whip? I want to make sure I am pushing the right ingredients.
I don’t have the ingredients on hand, but I think it’s like 4oz for the OREO jello and 8oz for the cool whip the larger 16oz. It’s sooo delicious…I hope you enjoy!
My husband will be so excited when I make this! Looks delicious!
This could not have more of my favorite things all piled into one pretty trifle dish!

It’s truly AMAZING! That is what I love about trifles :o) Usually lots of things I love all in one place!
Oh my! I love this idea so much. I feel like it’s something my Canadian family might think looks too crazy to eat, but that wouldn’t be a problem because I’m sure I could take care of that whole thing by myself!
