Roasted Pear & Banana Puree | Homemade Baby Food Recipe
Yall, this is a good recipe for folk of all ages. As I mentioned before I am making a lot of Chickadee’s baby food. At first I stuck with one ingredient menu items. I wanted to make sure she didn’t have any type of negative reactions to any foods. And so far so good. So I’ve started mixing things up and boy did we find a winner!
Okay, so I know it says this is a baby food recipe, but yall I ate it too! This roasted pear and banana puree is so delicious. Here is all you have to do:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Peel equal parts banana and pear.
Cut into slices and lay out on a baking sheet.
Bake on 400 for twenty five minutes.
Do you see the roasting & caramelizing? It’s mostly underneath….here is the remnant.
It’s almost like banana foster sauce using the natural sugars from the fruit instead of brown sugar. DELISH. The last step is to toss it all in the food processor and puree away! You can make this for your little one or yourself! It’s great solo, but Chickadee prefers is mixed with a little yogurt (whole milk yogurt for her)!
Enjoy!
