DIY Nontoxic Bathroom Cleaner
This week I’ve been sharing ways to clean around the house in a nontoxic, using vinegar & a few other household items kind of way. Today we are headed to the bathroom with a great all purpose cleaner for the bathroom. Here is the recipe…
1 2/3 cups baking soda | 1/2 cup liquid soap | 1/2 cup water | 2 tablespoons white vinegar
Mix baking soda and liquid soap in a bowl. The dilute with the water and add vinegar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the baking soda/liquid soap is dissolved. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle (I used an old glass cleaner spray bottle). Shake well before using.
Squirt the area to be cleaned, then scrub with a sponge (I used a basic dish sponge). Rinse with water. Make sure and keep closed/sealed between uses. You will also have to shake each time before using as the baking soda tends to settle to the bottom. I used this cleaner to clean not only the shower but the sink and counter as well!
Who knew vinegar had so many uses….probably everyone but me, but just in case, let’s recap. You can use vinegar to clean not only your shower, but also your kitchen sink, stove top, and microwave!

Hi…I like your blog, but just a comment. If it’s going to be a non toxic cleaner, the person making it would have to be sure to use 100% non toxic hand soap. That doesn’t exist today on the market, so to be true non toxic, you need to also make the soap. Just my 2 cents…sorry, don’t mind me – I’m a non toxic fanatic…so to speak!
