Warming Up with K-cups After our Snow Day!

As I am sure most of you have seen and heard a snowstorm of sorts hit the southeaast last week. Many would hardly call it a storm, however when you can no longer see the ground due to snowfall….for us it counts. We were fortunate enough that III left work in time to make it home before the interstates and side roads became parking lots. He got inside just in time to turn on the Keurig before heading outside to play with Chickadee in the snow.
For Christmas Nana (III’s mom) gave Chickadee the cutest pink snowsuit. We weren’t sure she was going to be able to wear it in actual snow as she quickly approached & began to pass the 3 months size mark. She is growing so fast, oh how I wish time would slow down. However, the first snowflake fell just in time for her to be able to squeeze in it and snap a picture…
or two… She lasted about 5 minutes before her cheeks started to turn pink, but oh how cute she was. I kept her footed pjs on as I stuffed her in the snowsuit, so she had a hard time moving her arms and legs….if she could I am sure she would have been making snow angels. At this point she had had enough so we headed inside to warm up!
I had made a snow run earlier in the day to WalMart to pick up the “it might snow in the south” essentials (milk & bread) and at the suggestion of #CollectiveBias decided to grab some Gevalia k-cups while I was there. I knew they would be perfect for helping us warm up after the snow. It’s rich taste was just what we needed.
Oh, how I love the smell of coffee #cookincomfort. It reminds me of my grandmother….I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a moment that went by when a warm cup of coffee wasn’t waiting to be poured in her kitchen.
Here is actually a picture of me and her in the snow some 28 years ago.
And now I have my own snow baby….
Now lets all head inside and warm up!

Such a pretty baby, and wonderful pictures.

We’ve been snowed in as well, and having those K-cups is a savior! #client
How wonderful that you have a picture of you with your grandmother in the snow! I hope you were able to get a pic of your baby with your mother in the snow. If not, the way this winter is going, you may still have time!
