DIY Paper Plate Box

On Monday I shared with you a recipe for how to make some scrumptious strawberry cake cookies (perfect for Valentine’s Day, don’t you think!). Well before I sent them off to share with friends I wanted to package them up in a cute way, because presentation can be everything! With chickadee in the middle of a nap I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it to the store for Valentine bags, so I had to work with what was on hand.

All you need to make this cute box from a paper plate is of course one paper plate, washi tape, a little baker’s twine, and scissors! I actually found the tutorial here on Pinterest…..and I hate that I can’t find the original post to give them credit. I’ve clicked on about 20 pins and they all lead me to a static image. Fortunately, for me (however unfortunately for the person who should be getting all the credit) you can see the entire tutorial in the image. So no need for me to repeat the steps, just check it out!

I’m off to enjoy the snow here in the south! We’ll see how long baby girl will last :o) And if you think about it please send up a prayer for all of those still stranded and trying to get home to loved ones! We are fortunate III made it home before the roads became parking lots full of abandoned cars. Stay warm!
