Tailgate Themed Baby Shower
One of my favorite parts of the last 8 months has been sharing this exciting time with family and friends. This last weekend was no exception! It’s often said in the south that Fall is not a great time to get married because your wedding will inevitably fall on a football Saturday. And well, that might upset some folks. Strange but true. The same could be said for most other non-football related get-togethers. However, with a little planning a few fabulous ladies managed to pull of the perfectly timed and perfectly themed baby shower for our baby girl!
It all started with these baby shower invitations from Tiny Prints. They were perfect with the orange and blue coloring and what I like to think is a baby eagle (War Eagle!) on the sippy cup. My sister added a little football lingo like “give a cheer,” “kickoff,” and “future Auburn tiger registry” before sending them to print.
And since all three of the amazing hosts were Auburn grads, their tailgating stash was able to take care of most of the decor and their tailgating experience the fantastic food! (and my DIY self couldn’t resist creating that bubble wreath!)
As I mentioned our friends and family’s support means so much to us! As I was soaking in the moments of the shower I realized there were 4 girls that I knew before we moved to Atlanta (and two were my mom and sister…the other two are dear friends from my time on the plains). Everyone else there celebrating baby girl have also become great friends in the past 6 years. It’s amazing how God puts the right people in your lives at the right times. Old friendships continue to grow stronger as new ones blossom. I pray baby girl is blessed by great friends as I have been.
Thank you to these three ladies (Rachel, Miriam, and Henley!) who went above and beyond!
It was an amazing time! I have more pictures to share from showers in our hometowns and with supportive co-workers who we are lucky to also call friends, but my sister has those on her camera! I’ll share soon :o)
Yall the nursery is ALMOST finished so I’ll have more projects and pictures to share with you this week! As I type this III is putting the crib together….We are less than 30 days away from welcoming baby girl :o) Pray I remember to just BREATHE these next few weeks!
**Thanks to TinyPrints for providing the invitations! I LOVED them!
