Perfect K Cup Carousel – DIY Style
For Christmas my mom & dad gave my sweet husband a Keurig. We had debated so much about whether we needed one or not, and came to the conclusion that we didn’t need it…..but wanted it. And sometimes that is okay too! Christmas morning he was on cloud 9, and must have made 6 cups of coffee that day. After getting back home the K-cups stayed piled up in the box on the counter…and while that was perfect for III….it wasn’t for me. So I searched online for a solution.
And what to my wondering eyes did appear….every carousel I found to my wallet added fear.
Okay, so they were only about $25 bucks, but I wasn’t ready to hand over the money just yet. Then, last week I was at Goodwill when I spotted the perfect k-cup solution! An old wooden spice rack!
With a little paint and some vinyl on top our K cups have found the perfect home!
Now I thought this was ingenious….that is until I saw another blogger post about the same solution while trying to find a before picture (since I was so excited I forgot to snap one). I guess there is no patenting it, but maybe I can at least say great minds think alike! Do you have a K-cup carousel? If not, maybe your Goodwill has a one of these oldies but goodies lying around. It will be worth looking!

Oh, and if you don’t have a Keurig…you should definitely pick one up. Your life will never be the same!
PROMISE.
It seems with these DIY Mugs I shared Monday, this tip for the next time you boil water to make your favorite tea… it’s a coffee/tea themed week!
Inviting these fun folks to the party :o)

We found our K cup carousel at a flea market (talked them down to $4 from $10)… it goes for over $25 in the retail stores. We love it! :-)
Great idea! We got a Keurig for Christmas and have been putting off buying storage for it. I’m going to keep my eyes open now!
This is fabulous! I agree that $25 is too much to hold already expensive K-cups!

What a clever idea! We just got a keurig and now I need a spice rack! :) I actually discovered your blog through a post about your office and was wondering if you could share the name of the purple/gray paint color you used. I want to do something similar in my bedroom. Thanks! Melody
Oh, this is a great idea! I am now officially on the look out for one.

Have you been in my kitchen? You must have. Because I have a drawer full of k-cups just thrown in there. I need to make this. Now I have an excuse to do a bit of thrift store shopping!! Yay!
