DIY Christmas Thank You Cards
Do you write thank you notes for Christmas gifts? My mom was always a stickler for these, & I can remember writing mine countless times on 9 hour car trips after visiting family for the holidays. I guess all the writing paid off, because I find it very important to share this gratitude to this day.
I love homemade cards of all kinds! I shared these fabulous eos Rudolph cards with a few of my friends this year! And so this year I wanted give the homemade personal touch to my thank you cards. After stumbling upon this fabulous stamp in the dollar section at Target I knew just what I wanted to do. While I loved this project, I think it would be really great for young kids to create these personalized notes.
Supplies: cardstock, ink pad, stamp, washi tape
Trying to “reduce, reuse, recycle” I used the washi tape from this year’s Christmas Card display. Each card received a random pattern of tape, with a few trying to actually look like something (candy cane, Christmas tree). Wouldn’t the stamp look great with the lettering colored in? To be honest, I’m not sure why I didn’t do that? Next time friends, next time…
Family, are you wondering which one will end up in your mailbox? Well, you will just have to wait and see as they are still sitting in their addressed envelope on the kitchen table :o) I think most of the cards I send this year will be homemade!
Linking up a some fabulous parties!!
