War Eagle Anyway | An Appliqued Tshirt

My team has had a rough season to say the least. And since we’re a family, I’ve had a rough football season too. 2 wins…that’s all folks. But win or lose we are still fans through and through, so on Friday we will pack our bags and head down to the loveliest village on the plains to cheer on our Auburn Tigers.

Several of my favorite people are piling into an RV again (you might remember from last year) to spend two glorious days reminiscing about the good ole days, tailgating late into the night, and showering in the smallest shower you’ve ever seen! Memories…

I have lots to do before we head to Auburn, but wanted to drop in to share one item I’ll be throwing in my bag…my new Auburn t-shirt. I used the Cameo to cut out the traditional Auburn AU. This machine is AMAZING and I don’t think I even know half of what it can do!

All I had to do was iron on the fabric interfacing and press CUT. The coolest machine ever did all the work!

Then I ironed the tiger love onto a navy t-shirt.

Finally, using my sewing talents attempts I outlined with white stitching. I’m planning to rough up the edges a little bit to make the applique more vintage before I wear this shirt down on the plains.

Here’s to hoping my new shirt will bring the Tigers good luck :O) We are hoping to pull a MAJOR upset over Georgia this weekend.

Have you used the Silhouette trace feature to cut out your own images?
Would you like me to share a tutorial?
