DIY iPhone Cover

So I was at Target a few weeks ago looking for a small point and shoot camera.
I was minding my own business looking up reviews of the cameras on Amazon using my ancient iPhone. The original iPhone 3G. I don’t think you can buy them anymore, not even for $1.00 at AT&T.

Well, a nice gentleman came up to me and said “I can get you a new iPhone for free.” Well, at first I thought this to be sketchy, but after further investigation I saw that he had a Target shirt & figured he was legit. And following my 1,000 questions I walked out the door with not only a free
WHITE iPhone 4 but also with $16 in my pocket. {It had something to do with it being time for a free upgrade?) Yep, somehow they ended up paying me to take it.

Talk about a good day!

So although, I loved the crisp whiteness of my new phone, I know the reality of how clumsy I am & knew I needed a protective case. Well, there are a thousand choices and I just couldn’t decide. So I went with a clear case & came up with a plan of my own!

I pulled out an assortment of scrapbook paper & traced the outline of my phone, including the camera.

Then I cut it out about an eighth of an inch inside my trace line.

And for the camera hole, I used an X-acto knife.

I cut out several different fillers from some of my favorite patterns. A girl has to have options!

Pop it in & chat in style :o)

Sharing with some lovely ladies!
