Packing for the Beach with Old Navy
Summer is officially upon us as of July 21st. And I’m not sure many of us can think about summer without linking it to memories of the beach. My family (as in my entire dad’s side) and I are headed that way for the 4th of July. I am so eager to get to the sand and enjoy the warm sun with a good book!!! I’ve actually already started packing & thinking about what summer clothing I need to go out and grab before the suitcase gets zipped.
My bathing suit style has really changed over the years. I am, after all quickly approaching 28 and with age comes great responsibility: to wear more sunscreen and a less revealing suit! And if you’re going scuba diving, make sure to bring a wetsuit. The importance of wearing one on extreme water adventures is explained here.
So move over string bottoms and triangle tops, halters and tankinis are here to stay!
Everyone will be glad I am doing more “covering up these days.”
I must admit though, that while my style has changed the number one place to go to purchase the perfect suit has not! Old Navy here I come.
While searching though Old Navy’s great online site I fell in love with the simplicity of this two piece. I love the folds & am a firm believer that you can never go wrong with a halter top.
There are also several days when a tankini is calling my age name.
I LOVE this turquoise & navy stripe with a touch of a flower print.
You can’t pack for the beach without grabbing a stylish cover up! After all, I’m going to need to “cover up” my belly after all the sweets and treats I will be consuming at the beach. These below are just a few that caught my eye. Aren’t they cute??
All I need to do now is throw in a few accessories to complete my final beach look for the summer.
What do you think?
I better head out to and start shopping!! You too!
What are your summer essentials? Has your favorite type of suit also changed over the years?
Thank you again to Old Navy for sponsoring my post. I was compensated for this post as a member of Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all my own.
