Last Minute Easter Ideas!!
So here I am scrambling around trying to get ready for 39 different things, especially Easter :o)
I wanted to drop in and share a few LAST MINUTE Easter ideas. Let’s face it friends, we are running out of time because the BIG day is just around the corner.
First up, a little Easter pail.
Our nephew is just 21 months old, and I’m not sure how well he is at remembering moments yet, but we will be with him for Easter & I couldn’t hang out with the guy empty handed (yes, I realize that was a crazy long run-on sentence). I grabbed these items in Target’s DOLLAR section. I thought each one would be perfect for our little nephew. And even if they only keep his attention for t-minus 12 seconds, it’s okay because they were $1!
I used the Silhouette to cut out his name!
AND I was super excited to add a little detail with the washi tape I also picked up at Target this week :o)
Easter cake pops! It’s hard for me to pass up an occasion without dipping some cake pops so I managed to squeeze a few of these in too :o) I followed the same cake pop steps you can find here!
They turned out really cute if I do say so myself. I grabbed these pink treat bags at Wal-Mart and cut them off with scalloped edges. Then I placed some styrofoam inside and some green Easter grass. What do you think?
Last, but not least I made a few mini-cupcakes with some of the left-over cake batter & topped them with everyone’s favorite, cream cheese icing! I placed them in an egg carton to give a little Easter touch!
Are you like me and trying to pull everything together at the last minute?
Luckily, for us Easter is MUCH bigger than egg hunts, Lilly Pulitzer, and Mr. Cadbury.
. . . . .
Easter reminds us that we are saved by HIS grace, because Christ died in OUR place for OUR sins. And it is through this merciful gift that we are freely given the gift of eternal life.
Today, Good Friday is a day of sadness and of loss.
The day we remember Jesus, who with his dying breath said “It is finished.”
But that wass not the end of HIS story & and it’s not the end of ours.
Three days later Jesus was Resurrected, and so are we when we chose to accept Jesus into our hearts,
die to ourselves, and live for CHRIST!
