How to Make No Bake Cookies
I don’t know how I’ve gone my entire life without learning how to make these no bake cookies…
They are DELICIOUS, EASY, and FAT FREE well, DELICIOUS….they would make the perfect Valentine’s treat as well!
You only need SEVEN ingredients, and the best part about this list, these are everyday items you probably already have on hand!
2 c. sugar | 1/2 c. butter | 1/4 c. cocoa | 3/4 c. milk | 1/2 c. peanut butter | 2 tbsp. vanilla extract | 3 c. instant oatmeal
In a pot or sauce pan mix
on medium/high heat and bring to a
After one and a half minutes add in the remaining 3 ingredients
and stir until well mixed.
I lined my tray with parchment paper, but you could always use wax paper if that is what you had on hand. Then just PLOP down your no bake mixture one spoonful at a time.
For the quickest results (like in my case…I needed them ready in an hour) place them in the fridge to firm up.
Enjoy.

Is it instant or quick cooking oatmeal that is used? They are two different products and that might be the reason that some of them didn’t set up properly. No matter what their final consistency, they sound awesome!
Great question! I used the quick cooking oats :)
Best cookies ever. My recipe calls for cooking for 3 minutes.
These cookies are really great crumbled over vanilla ice cream.
Oh, over ice cream sounds delicious!! Great tip for cooking 3 minutes encase they aren’t setting up properly! That could be the trick :o)
I absolutely love this recipe!! I made these and brought to some of the residents at the nursing home who are not diabetic and they absolutely love them!! One lady ask everytime I go when I am making her these cookies…haha…doesn’t take long to make at all.
I absolutely love love loved the flavor of these cookies! However mine never set up??? Could I have done something wrong? I did double check to make sure all my measurements were right?
I followed this exact recipe and mine never set either…my mom and gram confirmed the rolling boil should be around 1.5 minutes and need to be timed exactly. They were not cooked long enough, like mine :)
This is the exact recipe I follow each time. One time mine too didn’t set & I couldn’t never figure out what I did wrong. The timing of everything is very important & making sure you use the quick oats/oatmeal. I don’t think I said that so I’ll go back and add it. If you discover any sure fire hits I’d love to add them to the post! Thanks for stopping by :o)

Came to your site through Nifty Thrifty Things. These are my favorite cookies ever! Just seeing yours makes me want to go whip up a batch. Those have been around at least since the 1950's. They would make them in our cafeteria when I was in Elementary school….and that's been a long time. Yours turned out very nice!
No bake cookies are one of my favorites! I love them! I sometimes use coconut instead of PB.
