Welcome!

Oh, hello there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Are you cold? Come in friend and warm up a while.
We’re decorated for Christmas and the house smells of cinnamon.
Would you like a quick tour?
Everyone is greeted with a few lovely flowers… poinsettias, are a must!
I could stare all day at the Willow Tree Nativity that sits upon the piece on the far wall.
It is one of my favorite gifts of all time given to me in pieces by some of my favorite people.
Jesus, is after all, the reason for the season.

My old window is all glammed up with a little Christmas decor.
And the mantle is lit up so Santa can find his way.
(Does anyone else wish their TV wasn’t mounted over their mantle this time of year?
I usually LOVE it! But at Christmas time…I just wish it would go away.)

Do you see that cute felt ornament hanging out in the embroidery hoop?
My talented sister made that (along with two others) for me :o)
Adorning the coffee table & kitchen table…

Some natural elements mixed with a few colorful ornaments.

And the most FABULOUS wooden reindeer (from Pier 1).

And then there is the Christmas tree sitting center stage…

I was adamant about having the tree up before December 1.

The plan was to go and purchase this indoor beauty on the Sunday after Thanksgiving,
but we didn’t get home until late.

So we went Monday…it had been raining ALL day,
my sweet husband and I went to pick out a wet, cold tree. By Tuesday it was decorated.
Just in the knick of time.

Do you talk about each ornament as you put it on the tree?
Some have such special memories…and it’s fun to reminisce.

This first one came from our San Francisco trip. Oh, how we LOVED the cable cars…Instead of sugarplums, I might even dream of them while I’m snug in my bed.

My mom gave us this ornament last year. It reminds me of our first year of marriage,
our first Christmas, and Auburn’s first National Championship in our lifetime. It was a great year.

Isn’t this polar bear PEZ cute. Trey collects Pez dispensers…and he has a lot, including a few ornaments.

I like how the light shines through this one…no memories, just enjoyment :o)

Another ornament for the grill master. Thanks Mama G!

We picked up this sparkling bear in the Blue Ridge Mountains during our Valentine’s Day trip.

Are your husbands one of the 93% of guys in our generation who dressed up as a Ninja Turtle for Halloween, at least once during their childhood??? Mine was.

And the highlight of our year. Maaaaaxxxxxx
our tree wouldn’t be complete without a Max ornament.

Oh, you have to go?
I wish you could stay longer, but if you must.
I’m so happy you were able to stop by!
Have yourself a Merry little Christmas.
