Christmas Card
In the past (but really just last year because it was marriage year one)
we haven’t done a photo Christmas card.
Honestly, III isn’t really into them. I was telling someone just the other day that we probably won’t send the photo Christmas cards until kids are in the picture, his exact words were “and I don’t even know why then?“
MEN.
Well, this year Maaaaxxxx came into our lives and I made it my mission to come up with a Christmas photo card to which III just couldn’t say no :o)
These are the auditions:
Max in Lights…took several shots to find one that would work!
Then we tried reindeer ears…
In the end this was my favorite ears picture…how could anyone resist those eyes???
Then I tried both (ears & lights)…by this point Max was getting a little fed up with me :o)
He might even be giving me the evil eye…
At the end of the day I went with Max in lights as our Christmas card hopeful. How could III refuse?
I added a little Christmas wish at the bottom and kept it simple…then I crossed my fingers and showed it to III.
I used Picnik to create this bit of Christmas cheer…and to my surprise, III smiled.
Victory!
I ordered them from Snapfish for 1 cent a piece!! That is hard to beat :o)
Oh, and those of you who receive one in the mail…please pretend you haven’t already seen it.
Okay, thanks.
Okay, thanks.
Now I just have to hope they will be here before Christmas!

How cute! Max is a good boy! And he makes a lovely Christmas card! I'm sure all was forgiven with a good scratch behind the ears and maybe a Milkbone. That's usually all it takes for my Elwood and Jake after I've put them through a humiliating photo session :) Thanks for sharing with us!
Why don't dogs like reindeer ears? I don't get it. This is so cute. I tried some similar with just about as much luck! So cute.
Ummmmmmmmmm I. LOVE. MAX. And I Love Max in lights! Awhhhhhh! I think Max would really like my goldens Quincy and Kylie! I might just have to cave in and take some photos of my girls and make a card like this one—what a deal you got too! Thank you so so much for sharing! :o)

That is adorable!!
Adorable! I love the idea. Aren't all the free/cheap tools available on the web awesome?!? Happy Holidays! Hopefully Max got some extra treats after the photo shoot. ;)

Eeeee!!! What a sweet (and completely cooperative) pup you guys have :) I just might have to try that for our Christmas cards next year. Don't you just love Picnik? I'm completely addicted. Thanks for sharing!

What great photos! I am inspired to see if Penny will stay still :) And I'm sure it will be just as spectacular in person!
that is soooo funny! I never send out cards anymore because it's too expensive, for very little (or no) return. and plus it takes so much time to write out all those addresses, and then pay for postage, and cards, etc. but the snapfish deal is pretty good.
taking pictures of your dog can always be hard. i used to try to get pictures of our dog too…but i had a hard time getting him to look just right.
Maaaaaaax is the man. Perfect dog for photos…you know…with the staring and all.
ADORABLE!
That's so cute, I love your pics! You're lucky that Max stays still–my cats would go crazy being draped with lights lol
Your pictures came out great! I tried this my our puppy and it was so challenging! lol She wouldn't sit still!
haha sooooo cute…I have 2 crazy hyper labs.. I wouldn't have been able to get them to sit long enough to get a photo ;)
OMG!! Our hubby's should get together becaus that is exactly how my husband is. We have two kids and have yet to send out photo christmas cards. Of course we always end up moving around the holidays and don't have time for much so I haven't been to pushy on the subject. Love your puppy. He is adorable.
