It’s the Most Wonderful Time…
Oh, how I love Christmas! From the music, to the lights, the decorations, to the traditions, family, and welcoming of our Savior…it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
December 25th will be our first Christmas together & in our new home. We are excited to say the least. Want proof? We put our Christmas tree up November 22nd. I know you aren’t suppose to decorate before Thanksgiving, but when we saw them in the lot we just couldn’t leave without one!
In preparation of this magical moment, I did a lot of post Christmas shopping last year. That is the time to buy, the deals are incredible. We bought ornaments, mantle decorations, and received the most beautiful Willow Tree Nativity! I didn’t want our house to be lacking in any way, and I think we succeeded. Our tree is what some may call husky (short & thick). However, it fits perfect in the corner of the living room and really sets the mood. It’s filled with ornaments that represent memories of the past few years, yet there is plenty of room for the ones to represent memories still to be made.
III’s job was the outside decor. I have to say he did a great job with the lit garland. Between it’s sparkle and the hand crafted wreath on the front door, Christmas welcomes all of those that pass through our doors.
With the house in the mood for the holidays, I decided a little baking should be in the air! These whoopie pies turned cupcakes turned out delightfully. And everyone loves anything dipped in chocoate, so these pretzels were a tasty treat when III’s parents were in town this weekend. Can you tell what my favorite accent in the food department this year is?
