Easy Crock Pot RIBS

crock pot ribs

I want my baby back, baby back, baby back…Who doesn’t love ribs?? I often order them with I am feeling daring and willing to get messy Well, a few weeks ago while we were at St. Simon’s island we ate at a great BBQ place and III ordered ribs that were to die for. I knew I had to give it a shot, but was a little worried to take the leap….and then a friend told me I could make them in a crock pot. I decided to give it an audition.

Ingredients
  1. 1 pkg. of bone in or boneless ribs
  2. 1/2 cup steak sauce
  3. 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
  4. salt, pepper, grill seasoning
Instructions
  1. Rub the ribs down with salt, pepper, and grill seasoning
  2. Then add the steak sauce, coating both sides of the ribs
  3. Place in the crock pot (I suggest using a slow cooker liner to aid in clean up!)
  4. Then pour in BBQ sauce covering the ribs
  5. Cook for 4-6 hours in the crock pot
  6. When cooked & tender place in the oven on broil for about 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce
  7. Enjoy

  1. This is absolutely delicious! I made it for my husband and I last night- and it’s all gone after he ate the leftovers for lunch today!
I used Pork Spareribs (which were cheap!!) and GrillMates Pork Rub as the grill seasoning.
I’m actually making another batch today to bring to our friends who just had a baby since they are so easy but so delicious! I served mine with some delicious mashed potatoes (courtesy of the Pioneer Woman http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/11/delicious_creamy_mashed_potatoes/) and green beans.
    Yum! Thanks so much!

  2. Celeste says:

Do you cook them on low or high?

    • I cooked mine on high for 4-4 1/2 hours and they turned out great. It depends on your crockpot I’m sure. Mine heats up really fast and the high seems to cook everything really fast.

  3. These look mouth-watering delicious!
