Green Giant has a GIANT Surprise!

Raise your hand if you made a new year’s goal to eat healthier? Okay, you don’t have to really raise your hand, but it seems I am always having conversations about what I can do to take better care of myself. Well, Green Giant has helped us all out in a GIANT way! Introducing……

green giant veggie chips

These chips have saved the day in our household. One of the routes we went for trying to eat healthier was eliminating chips from our lunch. You see, the Mr. and I take our lunch EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Yes, we’re cheap, frugal. My accountant husband is quick to do the math to see that if we are buying a lunch at $5.00 a day each, that is over $2,600 a year. Oh, how I love him.

I must admit I was having a little withdrawal  but then as if  fate was showing it’s hand, these Green Giant chips ended up on my doorstep! The perfect healthy lunch solution. These chips are an amazing snack that everyone can feel good about. You see, they are made with REAL vegetables. Yes, I said it. REAL vegetables. Isn’t that awesome?

III and I had the chance to try both of their new flavors! I must admit I was partial to the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips, Zesty Cheddar. They are crisp & packed with that cheesy flavor. I will definitely be packing them in my lunch this week!

III preferred the Multi-grain Sweet Potato Chips with a Sea Salt flavor. He was surprised with how good they really were & asked that I pick some more up the next time I was at the store. There is a little sweetness from the sweet potatoes that sneaks its way in with the sea salt as well. It’s an added bonus!

Now that I’ve talked the talk, let me walk the walk with a few nutrition facts.

The Green Giant™ Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips – Zesty Cheddar Flavor are made with real vegetables, 17 grams of whole grain per serving (48g are recommended daily), and are naturally flavored.

The Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips – Sea Salt Flavor are made with real sweet potatoes and made with 14 grams of whole grain.

Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips (6g per 28g serving) have 40 percent less fat than regular potato chips (10g per 28g serving).

So as I sit down to make my grocery list this afternoon I definitely plan on adding Green Giant’s new chips to the list. I’ll no longer have my chip withdrawal, plus I’ll be adding a guilt free item to my lunch! So which flavor do you think you and your family will like best?
