House {to} Home_Entry Way/Guest Bath

It’s time for part 4 of my
This week it’s a little more simple, as I’m featuring the entry way & guest bath.
If you missed parts 1-3, check them out here.
First up, the entry way!

While the entry way is small, that doesn’t mean it can’t be welcoming.
I want others to feel at home too when they walk through the door.
I don’t have a before picture, but if you’ve been reading this series, you can guess the color…AQUA!
Here is how our entry looks today.
I recently brightened up the G wreath on the door, for summer.
If you would like one of you very own, check out my etsy shop!
The chalkboard was created from an old thrift store frame and can always be found saying something new (soon it will cry WAR EAGLE for football season :)).
I love this antique hook from Pier 1. It hangs to the left of the door & usually houses Max’s leash.
The small table has such intricate carved details; I fell in love immediately. The
Welcome Home sign was created in Picnik with inspiration of my friend Emily. And the flowers are wrapped in a piece of craft paper to hide the stems.
Oh, and that amazing crystal light was an estate sale find, shout out to Mama G!
Come. Stay a while.
. . . . . .
Heading up the stairs, check out the before and after…
Shutters are from a flea market, vase HomeGoods. Oh, I love those shutters :) I’m currently on the hunt for a few more to transform into a headboard in the guest bedroom.
And new carpet covers the stairs!
. . . . . . .
Moving right along, the guest bath. Here it is on closing day.
It was no Ritz Carlton for our guests, but things are changing for the better.
Here is what greets you today!
You feel like your at the Ritz, right?
Come on…just picture the mini shampoo & bath wash by the sink.
Well, we’re closer to the lap of luxury than before!
The lime green & black really pop against the neutral walls.
(You can check out the ruffled towel tutorial here.)
The black & white floral towels are from HomeGoods (TJMaxx) & the shower curtain’s from Target!
The marble counter/sink has a slight yellow tint, and I’m not lovin’ it, but a total redo currently isn’t a priority. Anyone know a quick fix?
What we did do: paint, change out the light fixture, cover up the medicine cabinet, paint the cabinets, add new harware, change out the faucet, re-tile the floors…
(I wish I had pictures of that process….can you say time consuming?).
*Still to do: new vanity, frame the mirror, tile the shower, repaint the trim.
You know you want to come stay! Make you reservation today :)
Coming Soon
i.e. Next week, the office (3rd bedroom)!
Hope to see you there!

Comments

  1. Amazing! I love all your details and please that lime green?? I die.

  2. Great Job! I LOVE the black and white towels in your guest bath. We just redid one of our bathrooms, but EVERYTHING is black and white stripes (we even have the same shower curtain!) I would love to add some floral. Mind sharing where you got the towels? Thanks!
