House {to} Home_ Living Room

Welcome to Part 3 of my
If you missed Part 1 & Part 2, check them out!
today’s feature…
The living room & powder bath
As a reminder, here are the befores…
and as they look today…voila
Let’s start with the living room breakdown.
1. The new couch & wall art (painted by your’s truly) really gave the room the life we needed! I do have a few more projects over here though (like adding some pizazz to the pillows & refinishing the end tables).

2. The china cabinet is IKEA, and I simply covered the back in fabric, & changed out the knobs to give it a little pop!

3. The curtains, sheets. Yep, I said it. I found these twin sheets at the Wal-Mart & loved the print.
5. And this fabulous piece, from my aunt’s design shop. An amazing wedding gift.
4. Another adventure was getting ride of the brass on the fireplace. Rustoleum to the rescue. I used a black spray paint made for the girll (because it needed to be heat resistant) and that did the trick!

Yes, I know the numbers are out of order :) For picture sake…

6. I’ll have to do a little tutorial on that green loveseat. It was a $30.00 yard sale find, with an added slip cover held together by hot glue, a staple gun, and some stitch witchery…oh yeah.

We love it!
. . . . . . .

and now, the powder bath

The color before, a little too bold for our liking, so…

Besides toning down the walls, we also changed out the vanity, light fixture, mirror added some accessories & created this wall collage.

The frames are all from the thrift store, spray painted to match & filled with a few wedding photos.

Hopefully, it’s a little more welcoming for our guests!

Thanks for stopping by for this edition of House {to} Home, next week
